Safe in Guatemala!

We just spoke with the team leaders and they've all arrived safely in Guatemala.  They are in route to their ministry site via some very long bus rides and will be settling in these next few days and getting some orientation from their host.  Expect to see some blogs rolling out in the next few days as they find internet. Thanks for all the prayers for this team! The Passport field support team

Not Exactly What I Expected…

My mind has been completely frazzled since the moment I’ve arrived at training camp. They didn’t tell us anything in advance, and the first night we found ourselves sleeping on  the floor of a soup kitchen after three hours of walking the streets of downtown atlanta talking to the  people we came across. Since then we’ve eaten strange foods, slept in cabins with third story bunk beds and no electricity, and lived out of our suitcases.  It’s funny, though, because that hasn’t been the uncomfortable part. That physical discomfort, I was expecting. What I...

Unified

The past four days have been mind-opening for all of us. Constant support through out and worship have been a big part as well as the super fun activities. Some of the super fun activities included dance-offs as well as painting. We have been learning how to be unified through Christ as a team as brothers and sisters. It has been wonderful to get a chance to make new friendships that could last like a lifetime. Everyone is genuinly kind and caring. I couldn't ask for a better team. The gifts God has given everyone here is amazing and the staff is incredible. So many God-loving people...

The past couple of days have really been hard in challenging personal issues and the barriers that truly prevent us from our full potential....

Never Going Back to OK

July 20-22 were three of the most beautiful, faith-growing, amazing, incredible, remarkable, astounding, unbelievable, and miraculous days of my life. On July 20th, our team leaders informed us that we would be heading out on a Luke 10 Journey. What is a Luke 10 journey you may ask? A Luke 10 journey is modeled after how the Lord sent out His disciples: without food, without money, and without a place to stay. I encourage you to read about it for yourself in Luke 10:1-12 and Matthew 10:1-23. So with Luke 10 in mind, the fourteen of us split into four groups and headed in all different...
