God´s Heart

It was during prostitue ministry, when I was talking to this lady Catherine, that God revealed his sweet abundant heart to me. This lady was so beautiful. And I don´t just mean physically, but she was just beautiful. Her way of talking, her sweet and kind personality. I don´t know what it was but when I talked to her my heart just broke. I was so drawn to her and just wanted to hug her forever and never let her go. This might sound a little wierd but that´s really how i felt. And I know it was just God´s heart flowing out of mine, because I have no reason...

Opening New Doors

The past few weeks here in Guatemala I can not even fully explain. It is a more of a different experience then I ever thought. God has been opening my eyes in many different ways, one being through the children´s hospital here in Puerto Barrios. Honestly, my whole life I have been intiminated by hospitals and had no desire to even attend one. So the other week our whole team went to the hospital, which was unlike one I have ever seen in the States. It was there, when I realized how sanitary and safe the hospital in the States really are. We are blessed there and most...

The Blind can really see, I <3 BEVERLY

Isn’t she beautiful? This amazing girl has captured my heart. Beverly is 16 years old and was born blind. But I am a witness, this girl can really see. And she sees beautiful things.             Last Tuesday, we were scheduled to go to the special children’s school and I was super excited to see Beverly and spend time with her. Last time I saw her, I gave her a pair of my used capris that I brought to give to the kids. I was hoping that when I see...

Bar Hoppin on a Friday Night

The other night we went to do prostitute ministries in the bar. Before going we were warned of the possible dangers and to be completely honest it got me pumped. Yes I have an adventurous spirit, but im not the type of idot that would take unnecessary risks in order to partake in one. Its not that im the kind of person that will just randomly fling myself into risky situations, but the idea of putting myself in possible danger in order to share the love of Christ is awesome. The idea of risking and putting it all on the line to do the Lord’s work is amazing.   Before leaving for...

Team Guate!! Whoo hoo!!

You wouldn’t believe it, but it’s getting cooler here in Puerto Barrios!!! It’s been pouring down rain! There were times when I shower in the rain when God directly speaks to me and tells me to feel His strong beauty and passion through the storms and thunders. (I have showered more in the rain than in the bathroom!!) I love the rain but our clothes haven’t gotten dried!             It seems like time is flying by so fast. This week, we started 2 new ministries – orphanage & break dance ministry at the...

James 1:27

“Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.” –James 1:27   I have never taken this verse literally before. I know that our religion is not complete by simply believing, we must act on that belief; but I have never felt convicted to literally go out and visit orphans and widows in their affliction. This Friday we went to an orphanage for the first time. When I walked in there was a little girl standing on a bench, she looked at me with the sweetest...
