IT’S NOVEMBER!!

This month has been great! We went to Honduras on Thursday and stayed five days. We worked with local churches and I fell in love with Puerto Cortez, Honduras. The people welcomed us with open arms and showed us so much love. It was great!  A LITTLE ENCOURAGEMENT FROM MY DEVOTION JESUS CALLING…. "Sit quietly with Me, letting all your fears and worries bubble up to the surface of your consciousness. There, in the Light of My Presence, the bubbles pop and disappear. However, some fears surface over and over again, especially fear of the future. You tend to project...

What exactly defines family? I ask because I think I’ve found more of mine in Central America. That sounds weird, finding family in another country, but I have.  This past week we visited Honduras to renew our visas and I was actually dreading the trip. I didn’t want to leave the little bit of normality I have found here in Casa Verde and be drug around with a busy ministry schedule. But by the end of the 5 days, a little piece of my heart is left in Honduras....

Out of Dust

Stop. Close Facebook, your email, and any other things you may have open. Except, obviously, this tab. Turn off that music. Isn't God Breathtakingly Amazing?

Purple Couch

Yesterday, we had an ATL ministry morning. For those of you unfamiliar with this (me being one), it stands for Ask The Lord. You literally pray and ask God what he wants you to do and where he wants you to go during the time set aside. With that introduction, we split into groups and began to pray. And finally, randomly, completely unexpected, God told me "purple couch." Well, really more burgandy....

Saving the Best for Last

This last week has been my favorite week of the trip, beginning with our mini mission trip to Honduras.  I don’t think anyone was really looking forward to Honduras-they told us we would be out doing ministry from 8 in the morning until 10 at night, and then sleeping on the floor of a church. And considering the fact that the Honduras border is only 20 minutes or so away from Puerto Barrios, we were expecting a similar cultures and the dark spiritual climate that surrounds our own port city. But Puerto Cortes was completely different than any of us expected. First of all, everyone...

The Spirit is alive and resides in each of us.

“God by His providence brings you into circumstances that you can’t understand at all, but the Spirit of God understands. God brings you to places, among people, and into certain conditions to accomplish a definite purpose through the intercession of the Spirit in you.” –Oswald Chambers   “Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for...
