Love
That’s it. That’s all it’s about. Not much more to it. I feel like a lot of times we try and over complicate things. I know I have but everything is a matter of love. God’s love. God brought me to two verses, John 15:9 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love.” John 13:34 “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.”
The Mission
Good week. Our team went to the trash dump again, as we will continue to do every Thursday. It was great. People in our team we’re actually walking through the trash to meet with people and pray over them. It was much easier for everyone to ministry and show love after having gotten through the first initial shock our first time there. I couldn’t go last Thursday because I was sick but these are things I share from the team. I was also sick the next day and on that day our team partnered up with another team from Puerto Rico. Together they did door-to-door evangelism. The days I was well we spent our time moving. Our hosts own two places, casa verde and casa blanca. The owner of casa verde increased the rent so we helped move everything from casa verde to casa blanca. Many bunk beds, satelites, and a pila as well as many other things. We also cleaned up the all of casa verde and prepared casa blanca beforehand for the move. In the beginning I was bummed because we were spending so much time moving and I wanted to do more ministry but God was saying not only to focus on loving those out in the world but also those that are close to you. Besides, it is also by our love for one another that people may see the love of Christ. John 17:21-23
