The Hug worth a million smiles

What a joy and blessing God has had for us on this trip. To think it hasn't even been three weeks here in Guatemala, but God has already done amazing through us and through those around us who have touched our hearts. This week was full of lots of ministry and highlights throughout this week, it has definitely been eye opening and lots of fun especially the great memories to cherish and look back at with the amazing people I am with. My favorite thing by far of this whole trip was on wednesday. We had the great opportunity visit a school for kids with special needs. As soon as we...

Careless Lover

I don't always seek God. The times when I am seeking Him, aren't always times when I am really seeking Him. Wisdom, healing, providence, comfort, direction, security, rest, joy; these are all things I have sought, believing I was actually seeking after God while doing so. Days ago, immersed in worship, singing with all I had "How He Loves", I felt an overwhelming sense of contentment come over me. Singing, my voice cracks, horribly, and moments later, I am in tears, and at this point, I am in the most real conversation with God I know that I have had in a long time....

Faith or Falling on my Face

Guatemala is unexplainable. God is moving. People are growing. Lives are being changed. Eyes are being opened. God is showing me that there is no stopping point in my growth. There is always something new to be discovered, and I have to keep seeking. Seeking with my WHOLE heart.    With that being said… God put a trip on my heart. A long, expensive, and last minute trip. It's called the Immersion trip with Adventures in Missions, the organization I am leading a trip in Guatemala with right now. This trip consists of 3 months in 3 different countries. . A total of 9...

The House of God Forever (Psalm 23)

There have been many low key mornings here in Guatemala before we go out and do afternoon ministry.  There was one morning our leaders asked us to spend 3 hours with the Lord before lunch.  I spent my time, praying over the different ministries my team is involved in.  I busted out my ipod and put on some good ol' worship music to the one and only JC.  My prayers for the ministries were the song lyrics of different songs.   The song God of this City by Chris Tomlin was my prayer for the people of Puerto Barrios.  There were many other songs I came...

nada es imposible

“Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20 In these two weeks of being on the field so far, God is already doing some serious work in my heart. It’s amazing what happens when you take 20 people with different stories, different hearts, desires, passions, scars, and victories. Every one of us has a lot to let go of, and a lot to learn. We all have so much to discover, and so much to step into. And the cool thing is, we will always have more to learn, and more to understand. Something I have been learning for a long time now is to let go of my desire to be in...

Que tienes en su mano? Un Gusanito!

Daniela y Yo This week was busier with ministry and it was so amazing to see God working through each activity.   Park Ministry: At the park we strengthened friendships we made last week with the people that were saved last week.   Dump Ministry:  This was our first visit to the dump and we were just simply going around telling them about an activity for children we were hosting on Thursday. Also, we would ask them for prayer requests and pray over them. There was one lady who was standing off to the side and she came right up next to me in the middle of the prayer...
